Children Of Woodbine Preschool
Philosophy Statement
The Children of Woodbine Preschool is a Christian based preschool that strives to provide a developmentally appropriate program for children ages one through four. We use our knowledge and training of how children develop and learn to provide experiences that will help them grow physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
Curriculum
We use the “Wee Learn” curriculum, which is a developmental age-appropriate guide, designed to encourage children in Christian values and principles. Wee Learn is a center-based program that is built around weekly thematic units that provide children opportunities to learn about God’s world and their place in it. It provides opportunities to develop thinking and reasoning skills, use creativity, and how to socialize with their peers. We also teach pre-academic skills in language arts, math, science, and social studies.
Preschool Hours
Our school day is from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The academic year runs from August through May.
Programs Offered
Preschool
One-year-old classes: Maximum of eight children with two teachers. Two, three, or five-day classes offered for this age.
Two-year-old classes: Maximum of eight children with two teachers. We assist with toilet training in these classes. Two, three, or five-day classes offered for this age.
Three-year-old classes: Maximum of eight children with one teacher. Two, three or five-day classes offered for this age.
Four-year-old classes: Maximum of eleven children with one teacher. Two, three or five-day classes offered for this age.
Mom's Day Out
During the Summer we offer MDO on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
The dates vary each summer depending on other church events. During the summer the program is available to children ages one through fourth grade.
